“Packers Chemical moving plant to state

A chemical company that supplies products to beef slaughterhouses will receive $65,000 in tax credits for moving a manufacturing plant from Missouri to Grant County.

Packers Chemical Inc. will receive the Community Development Zone tax credits for building a $3.4 million factory in Kieler and creating 27 jobs, according to the state Department of Commerce.

The company, established in 1983 to make specialty products for the beef industry, has since expanded its product lineup to include soaps and sanitizers, inks and denaturants, defoamers and customized chemical dispensing equipment.”
