Goodbye my brother

I arrived at work and happened to hit the JSOnline site just as news about the death of Gov. Dreyfus was being released.

I first met the Governor at Waukesha Lodge. Being new to the state I had no idea who he was and simply knew him as Lee. It was not until later that I learned he was a former Governor and very well known in Waukesha. All I knew was that he was a well spoken friendly man who gave of his time and money to the lodge and the girls group we sponsor, Job’s Daughters.

It is not often in life that we meet someone who has had great success and yet manages to carry on his day to day life as a normal man so effectively. I loved the small chats we had and will cherish the photo I have of him and me. Red vest and all.

May God take you home my brother. Rest in peace.
