A Boston guy was fired from Scott lawncare for smoking. On his own time. No where near the company or any clients.
Scott says that no one is allowed to smoke if they work for Scott because Scott does not want to fund the “proven risks of tobacco use”. What about heart disease? Much higher mortality rate. Effects more people. Anyone who eats unhealthy should be canned. Alcohol use?
I used to smoke. Quit about 18 months ago. Don’t like being around smokers at all when they are smoking. But I will tell you this, I have already called the SCott franchise and told them I will not be needing them next year. Told the guy why. He said they have “leeway” in how they enforce it. I think that is even worse.
