OK maybe I am an idiot but…
April 20, 2006…several posts on several blogs by teachers whining about "losing" students who are reading at a 3rd grade level in the 8th grade got me thinking.
HOW DID THEY GET TO THE EIGTH GRADE?
What we have here is a classic issue where both sides have brought up so many points that the actual basic issue is lost.
If a student who reads at a 3rd grade level gets passing grades from his teachers in the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grades then who's fault is it? What kind of idiot would blame the parents or the curriculum or the child? It is the FRICKIN TEACHER.
To all you teachers whining about students who are not prepared for the grade they are in stop asking for more money and instead ask that your co workers who put you in this spot be canned.
I mean what would you do if you found out the DMV tester was handing licenses out to everyone who showed up regardless of there ability. WOuld you blame the drivers? No, that would be STUPID. You would blame the tester.
What exactly is the difference.

This weed adled pissant actually implies that Waukesha before nelson was as bad as Auschwitz by mocking the sign on the gate that hundreds of thousands of human beings marched through to be exterminated and follows that up to joke about the fact that Bush thinks a child being blown up is sad. A couple of points about Milw / Wauk county mergers
April 14, 2006My last post was about a moonbat looking to Merge Waukesha and Milwaukee counties. I have examined the issue over a cold beer, looked at the latest idiocies coming out of the Milwaukee area and came to the conclusion that we do not need to.
I mean lets face it. Between Milwaukee losing it's population, solid citizens flocking out to Waukesha County, Milwaukee refusing to allow new jobs to move in (think buyseasons.com), an increase in our population that improves equity in the state legislature, MPS being allowed to graduate students who recieved fake passing grades for 4+ years…..
Why Merge? I mean all the jobs and civic minded people will come to Waukesha county and we can leave milwaukee to it's most vital (some say only) role in the region. Process our crap. Of course, they can't even do that correctly.
I am not a total pessimist though, we will continue to toss the occaisonal scrap to you. I mean after all you do so much to make us look better. Ethically challenged leaders, rampant murder and crime, etc. because we understand that the best way to improve your looks is to hang out with ugly people.

April 13, 2006Who exactly are the "Waukesha Taxpayers League".
I can't seem to understand why this group thinks they have the ability to determine with any accuracy what the "will" of the people is since they appear to be composed almost entirely of City of Waukesha people.
This county is HEAVILY republican, the city is not. This county is HEAVILY pro growth, the city is not. This would be like expecting an inner city Milwaukee group to speak for whitefish bay.
In fact, I can't see where the payoff of downsizing offsets the costs of representative loss for those areas with disticnt needs and philosophies currently represented by eofficials who share those philosophies.
In fact, only a single area of the county has multiple representatives that so represent a single mindeset that no loss of representation would occur. That is the city of Waukesha.
The WTL has also now taken the position that the county was cheated and the will of the poeple of Waukesha county was thwarted by the properly elected representatives of the people.
6200 signatures does not a mandate make in a county this big. The one hope they had was to sneak this in on an off year and hope that bloggers and talk radio would whip up the city enough to get those signatures they needed to put this is an off year election cycle. Kind of like a school referendum.
I think it might be time for a closer look at this group.How their official stances on issues effect the the majority of the citizens of the county who do not live in the city.
