2 Points for the Pewaukee “Patriot” UPDATED

October 31, 2005

UPADTED: The email address was at the bottom of one of Dale’s posts. Point one is retracted.
Number 1, I have been informed that you created a post on your blog stating I have not responded to your request for my personal contact details. It would have been easier had you left an email address. Before you say I should have known to go to your blog and research it, sorry buddy but your site was a passing interest at best so if you want a reply post it here. Quite honestly I first went to it because i thought it was another veterans site (there are far too few of us in Pewaukee). By the way, you will probably want to note that I am in essence doing the same to you by posting what is in essense a response to a post on your blog here on my blog. Kind of makes my point, doesn’t it?

Number 2, a little lesson here in informal blog rules. If you want to engage in conversation or debate, keep it in one spot. It does no one any good to have to jump all over the web trying to track a thread. I engage in three types of debates. a) Ones resulting from a comment I made on another blog (that debate takes place on that blog). b) one that results in a comment made on this blog (that debate takes place on this blog) c) One that results in a comment made in an email exchange (that one takes place…..go ahead take a guess…thats right! in email reply threads.)

Pewaukee recall update

October 26, 2005

(I know it goes without saying, but…) Still no answer from PBG on whether the organization had non citizens as members. Come on folks, why the hell can’t you just give a yes or no? Would it kill you?

Supervisor Klein has not responded in 7 days to an email asking his opinion on blogs and campaigns and where the two should (and should not) meet without disclaimer (See the blogs and journalists post below). Come on supervisor, this one does not take a lot of effort. At least reply back to this Pewaukee voter that you recieved the email sent to your official government email address a week ago.

It is incredible to me that the organizations and individuals in this issue (with the exception of Chris at CRG) do not want to say anything. I mean (this is aimed at PBG) you couldn’t keep your mouth shut for 2 minutes when it came to denigrating your city but now?

Special side note to the services guys out their. I agree with most that you need to be very careful about anything you post on ANY blog or website. It will be used against you because I can guarantee you that PBG could give a rip about your rights. Also note that their is at least one blogger savy enough to trace IP addresses so don’t use the “company” pcs especially if you jump from one blog to another because if you use a link, you tell the next site where you came from. And from a citizen, thank you all. God bless you for everything you do especially concidering how some are treating you.

JS Online: On budgets and burdens, court systems are a tale of two counties

October 24, 2005

CAUTION!!!!

JS Online: On budgets and burdens, court systems are a tale of two counties

The link above has been rated IL13 (Ignorence level of a pot smoking 13 year old required not to realise what a left leaning piece of crap the entire article represents)

This is (again) a prime example of why people consider the Journal Sentinal to be biased to the left. I mean for God’s sake can’t they at least try to make a reasonable comparison? Were there no interns or maintenance people available to do the smallest spec of research before this drivel was allowed to be published?

I should fisk it but if you honestly believe that Milwaukee’s court system needs new buildings or the trial is unfair then quite frankly you are hopeless and an oxygen thief.

When are bloggers considered reporters?

October 24, 2005

There is quite a bit of talk on the Internet about how bloggers opinions should be concidered to have the same protection as journalists but when is that line drawn? In the world of campaign finance reform, most bloggers are adament that their political views should not be stifled just because of the nearness of an election. What happens when a fellow blogger becomes an example of why blogs just might need to be controlled?

Here in Pewaukee we have a blogger who is openly advocating against a Mayoral candidate. No problem there.

He has “endorsed” a second candidate. Close but no problem.

He has broken “news” about a major city resident supporting a candidate he endorsed. Once again no problem.

What if the blogger is an active worker in the campaign? What if the blogger provides time and resources for a candidate? What if the blogger never acknowledges the fact that they are active members of a candidates campaign team?

Of course the secondary issue is what about the candidate. In this day and age of attacking the ethics of your opponent most candidates actively try to distance themselves whenever a situation like the one above arises. Not in this case.

The blogger in this example is PewaukeePatriot.org
The candidate is Scott Klein.

Searches against the registration of SUpervisor Kleins campaign website shows that it shares contacts and IP Destinations with PewaukeePatriot.org

Ironically the PBG (We don’t endorse anyone) web site is also hosted by PewaukeePatriot.org

Email to Supervisor Klein at his official Waukesha County government email address asking for his comment/rebuttel of this issue has thus far gone unanswered. I do not believe the Supervisor is aware of this issue but I would certainly hope that he at least makes a public statement as to his opinions on this matter. Further research is being done now.

Is PBG or their pet violating campaign finance law? Nope. But is it right.

October 18, 2005

The Journal Sentinal is reporting

“The PBG has invited Durski and Klein to post their biographies, platforms and contact information on its Web site, http://pbgnetwork.org.”

It is a “Political Communication” to allow a candidate to publish their qualifications for office while denying the same to their opponent. I certainly hope that the PBG is making sure that the paperwork is correct.

Did their pet Durski document the in-kind contribution?

Inquiring minds want to know. Of course don’t bother asking them through email since apparently the “reply” button is missing from their preferred mail reader.

UPDATE: I am told that this level of endorsement and information from an outside group is legal.

Pewaukee recall update

October 17, 2005

First off, WELCOME to all the Yahoo Search visitors. There are lots of posts here that are related to the Pewaukee Recall. (Note that the title of the post will have CRG, PBG, or Pewaukee)

We have quite a few posts this week in relation to CRG’s (or is it PBG’s) attempts to smear the Pewaukee police force as well as a link to a JSOnline article about them.

Secret “Hi” to the head indian (you know who you are)

Still no response from PBG as to a declaritive statement that only City of Pewaukee residents are members of PBG.

What is CRG’s agenda?

October 17, 2005

Below is a link to JSOnline article.

JS Online: Citizens group takes personal agenda to judge

Several Judges felt the were being pressed….

“Actually, the judges at the meeting said Kliesmet was not offering them the same deal as the county. They said he would look for companies to underwrite an efficiency study of the courts, preferably using Six Sigma. Or, the judges said, he would try to help overturn the $4 million spending cut if a portion of that could go toward the efficiency effort.”

Read the article. Maybe (just maybe since this comes from the Journal Sentinal) there is more to CRG than meets the eye.

Now Doyle has eliminated religous concience from the realm of humanity

October 14, 2005

Money Quote

“One of the most sacred principles of our medical care system is that a doctor should always do what is in the best interests of a patient’s health,” Doyle said in a statement. “Medical decisions should be made by the patient and the doctor based on what’s best for the patient, not on the doctor’s political views.”

Money Quote again but just the last part…

“not on the doctor’s political views.”

Onle last time for those who have not had coffee yet…

“NOT ON THE DOCTOR’S POLITICAL VIEWS.”

Thats right folks. Basic and fundemental religious beliefs are being reclassified as political beliefs. Think I am just making up something about nothing?

This is how the game is played. Change the definition of your opponents argument and the press just plays along. Nowhere in that article is he (Doyle) taken to task for belittleing a Wisconsin Citizens right to worship their religion.

I have commented before on this issue from the flat state down south of us. The amazing part is how gullible and stupid the Journal Sentinal is in all this. I know that this way of doing business is hurting Republicans so they will ignore it for now but I hope they realize they are next.
