For everyone who thinks the Judge in Terri’s case was right

March 31, 2005

http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/3/25/230207.shtml

He accepted a bribe. He should be impeached. He should be charged with accessary to murder and his punishment should be no food or water for 13 days. Oh, and no Jury.

Fair is Fair

Congratulations to American Liberals

Terri is dead

http://apnews.myway.com/article/20050331/D8961I581.html

It is official. You have managed to have a disabled citizen executed without ever being charged with a crime, having her own attourney, or having a jury decide her fate.

Pat yourselves on the backs for a job well done.

As a side benefit I have written all my legislators and am demanding that starvation should be the new capital execution method since it is so “peaceful and euphoric”.

You people make me sick to my stomach

Money quote…

Of course, if my only means of entertainment were Air America radio, Barbra Streisand albums and reruns of “The West Wing,” I too would be asking: “What kind of quality of life is this?”

Syrian President Bashar Assad

www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A14196-2005Mar30.html

For doing stupid things like refusing to realize the US wants him to take his fingers out of the Lebonese pie. I think we just found our exit strategy, right through Syria.

An open letter to Democrats

March 30, 2005

Want to win an election? Want to find out what it takes to “connect” with the public? Want to understand the last three election failures?

Have a beer!

Thats right, go to your local tavern and down a cold one while listening to the talk around you. Forget polls, they are biased and you know it. Your going to hear a lot of opinions from those hard working stiffs who are unwinding after a long day.

To help you sort out the important parts listen for the following “It aint right”. That little phrase hides a meaning you might not comprehend. When the avarage Joe uses it he is expressing a fundimental judgement call. He is letting you know that the issue isn’t just something he disagrees with, it is something thats he knows in his heart can not be allowed to continue.

If anyone gives him the power to change whatever he feels “aint right”, he will vote for them.

I was in a tavern the other day when a news brief on Terri came on and a thirtyish guy to my left just muttered the words out loud. He then looked at the bartender and said his little girl has MS and can not feed herself.

Me and the bartender just shook our heads in mutual support for the guy. He had a “Vote Union Yes” patch on his jacket and had the hands of someone who works hard. He should be an easy catch for the Democrats, but he probably will vote Republican next.

Next time you get the itch to screw the Bushes and damn the cost, keep in mind.

It aint right

Some good will come from Terri’s fight….RIGHT???

March 30, 2005

As I write this a disabled woman is being starved to death by Judicial order.

I believe it is repulsive beyond belief but at least some good will come of it. I am glad to see that the mainstream media now believes that Judicial decisions are beyond reproach and that the legislative and executive branches have no business sticking their noses in.

I look forward to seeing the main stream media criticize EVERYONE who asks a Governer to grant a stay of execution. The courts sentanced a man to die and that decision is beyond reproach. RIGHT?

I look forward to seeing the main stream media start editorializing for a constitutional amendment that abolishes the President’s pardon powers. After all, how DARE the president basically overturn a court decision. RIGHT?

I look forward to seeing the main stream media printing retractions of their support to send Elian Gonzales back to Cuba. The courts declared it was a family court issue and no Attourney General should be able to use force to bypass them. RIGHT?

Perhaps the greatest good will come because we now know that a husband, even one who has publicly admitted to extra marital affairs has complete control over his wife. It’s not his fault that she is disabled (maybe). It is a coincidence that he waited seven years to do this. It is a coincidence that the Judge who helped make this possible recieved campaign contributions from his lawyer the DAY AFTER ruling against the womans parents.

Sorry, I can not keep up the sarcasm.

God help us all for doing this.

On Gods existance

March 24, 2005

Was reading a debate on Wizbang about evolution and posted this…

By definition the Biologist is at a distinct disadvantage when discussing origins of anything. Biology and it’s related science have information or practices that deal with existance.
The greatest treat, I believe, is for a scientist to argue about a change that occured on an object created (came into existance) billions of years before.
The religious can always point to God creating the universe and therefor all that follows owes some credit to God. Unfortunately science can not explain the existance of all material in the universe coming into existance from nothing at a distinct point in time.
In an open universe all material would have slowed and came to a standstill after a set amount of time following the big bang. Because our universe is expanding either A)Time began at a specified time or B)open universe theory is flawed.
In a closed universe (the beliefe that the universe expands and contracts infinately) the loss of even miniscule energy in the form of radiation and light traveling outwards would eventually drain the universe of the energy needed to contract and (like an open universe) everything would come to a standstill. The flaws closely mirror the open universe. Because our universe is expanding either A)Time began at a specified time or B)Closed universe theory is flawed.
The final point is that the only way to discount God is to state that Time started at a distinct point and everything in the universe came into existance spontaniously. Or to state it in other words…
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, and the earth was without form and void….

Enough is enough. Fight OPEC with OFEC

March 23, 2005

OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries) maintains the price of the worlds oil by banding together and setting quotas on how much can be produced by member states. This gives them a valuable weapon against industrialized nations that need the oil to stave off economic downturns.

As an American I find the entire thing offensive. If all the car manufacturers banded together and limited production to drive up the cost of cars the federal government would punish them. The problem is the Federal government has no authority over OPEC.

How is this for an idea. I think America should band with other major producers of staple goods (namely wheat) and form the Organization of Food Exporting Countries. Thats right, OFEC. The biggest problem I see is that OPEC spends a lot of money researching how high they can keep the price of oil while maintaining maximum profit. To hell with that, lets peg the price of wheat to a percentage of the price of oil :)

They let oil go to $50 a barrel, we let wheat go to $25 a bushel. In event of a commodity war, they could harm us by limiting production to extreme amounts but remember gas is mainly a luxery. Food is not. And while we can find sources for new oil right here in the USA, they can not grow wheat in the desert.
